Kim
Langlois She volunteered with CUR runs, then in 2002, fate stepped in. A call went out for someone to check out and pull a poor little boxer boy from Baton Rouge and transport to Connie Back's rescue in New Orleans. Kim met Connie, they talked at length and she volunteered to help Connie with Louisiana Boxer Rescue. Kim's household currently includes Otis (the 6 year old white male who started it all), Smokey (5 year old Rottie who is a boxer wannabe), Cindy (10 year old plain fawn that was adopted from Lake Charles rescue), Gwynth (2 year old plain brindle), Dusty (2 year old plain fawn-the one pulled from Animal Control that Kim just couldn't let go), and Gracie (2 year old blind, plain brindle). Oh, yeah, and her husband, Brandon, who not only tolerates all the comings and goings of dogs, but also designed this website! (And Brandon is the only one in the house who is not spayed or neutered! :) |

Kristy Champagne Kristy's house now consists of Caramel (Agility titled), Max (rescue boxer), Dixie (rescued border collie), and whatever fosters she might have. Oh yeah, and a loving and very understanding boyfriend who has done nothing but help and support her through it all. |

Rebecca Ouellet Rebecca became so bonded with her own Beau that she was shocked when she discovered the condition of some boxers by the time they get to rescue. She sent a generous donation and a beautiful picture of Beau as a pup to LaBR. She made the offer to help whenever and however she could. Did she ever get taken up on that offer! Her Beau is the "greeting pup" on the LaBR website. She has fostered for LaBR and helped with planning our "Boxer Bash" and is a great resource. Not only does she help LaBR, but she has started an all-breed email list "SLaDogRescue" and has been instrumental in saving and finding homes for many dogs in the area. |

![]() Tracey Young Tracey began emailing us, offering to help LaBR since there wasn't a large boxer rescue presence in the western part of the state. Little did she know! :) Tracey has pulled many boxers from her local shelters, has fostered boxers and she helps out several different breed rescues with transports. She has helped find spaces and forever homes in one locale when the dog in distress was somewhere else. Tracey, pictured here with her friend, Tina Ellis, who often helps her, has given LaBR a much needed foothold to the west, and made lots of friends for LaBR and Boxers in general. Rocky and Izzy (not pictured), her own boxers, usually are pretty understanding of the intrusions into their lives.:) |
