Ways to Help Rescue

Our Cafe Press

1. All dogs are vet checked, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to placement.

2. Any Boxer with a history of bites or attacks on humans will NOT be considered as appropriate for our rescue.

3. All owner surrender dogs will be accepted only after evaluation by one of our volunteers and with a completed surrender form. We request that the dogs personal items (ie. crate, toys, bowls, etc) be turned in with the dog to ease their transition to a new home.

4. All vet records are to be supplied when the dog is turned into rescue.

5. Boxer rescue matches the appropriate Boxer personality with a family, not just placing the Boxer in a home.

6. Adopter MUST agree to return the Boxer to Louisiana Boxer Rescue if the dog must be re-homed for any reason.

7. A $175 adoption fee is due at the time the adopter receives the Boxer.

8. Application form and adoption agreement must be completed prior to placement. Any violation of adoption agreement is breech of contract and will be treated as such.

9. Louisiana Boxer Rescue reserves the right to regain possession of any adopted dog whose adopters are not providing nutrition, vet care or shelter as stipulated in the adoption agreement.

10.Due to the large numbers of purebred Boxers in need, Louisiana Boxer Rescue is unable to accept Boxer mixes.

11.Louisiana Boxer Rescue does not assume responsibility for any actions of adopters and rescue dogs after placement.

12.Louisiana Boxer Rescue does not adopt outside of Lousiana except in special circumstances. In order for a Boxer to adopted outside of Louisiana, the home rescue must be informed and have approved the home, but currently have no dogs available for the specific adopter.
